We will attempt to answer as many questions as possible here to avoid any confusion or disappointment upon receiving your product. It is a good idea to read through them so you get a good understanding of what is being offered here.
We have organised the questions based on what they relate to
THE CABINET
- Do the cabinets have all the bolt holes drilled? Or do I have to do this myself? From the pictures it looks like there arent any holes in the sides of the cabinet.
All cabinets come with the holes CNC machined/drilled. The artwork is applied over the machined timber, and it is just a matter of pushing the bolt through the art (or trimming around the hole) during assembly.
- What do I actually GET? Im interested but what should I expect to receive?
If a picture says 1000 words, what's a video worth? Watch this clip as we cover over one of our stenciled Bally cabinets (coming soon)
- I’m not seeing my cabinet on the list. What should I do?
Send us an email here on our CONTACT page. We may be adding your cabinet to our list sooner than you think :)
- I want to fit the art myself, can you supply a blank cabinet?
In most cases no. We need to guarantee our products, so we need to know that the artwork has been applied to the highest level. In some cases when cabinets are being sold to other restoration businesses - an exception will be made as they are typically well versed in this area and a level of fit and finish can be assured.
- I have a set of genuine art I would like to supply. Is that ok?
Yes, that’s fine. You should contact us before ordering though so we can adjust pricing accordingly. The art supplied must be genuine licensed art and present in good condition.
- How long does it take for my cabinet to be made?
It takes typically 4 weeks from payment. Your cabinet is built with a number of others in small batch runs of 4 - 8 cabinets at one time.
As such, there are certain lead times which are just part of the framework of this manufacturing approach.
- What type of timber do you use?
We use a premium B/B plywood for the body of the cabinets, and MDF for the floor to keep the factory appearance.
- My cabinet is a bit heavier than my old one?
Yes, as it is now made from a higher grade of timber
- Would I be correct in thinking I might need to open up a hole or possibly even drill a small hole missed during the manufacturing process? Basically, I need to know if I purchase one of these cabinets will I need some basic woodworking or handy man skills? My hands are sweating just thinking about power tools.
Every step is taken to ensure there is as much detail in the cabinets as possible. There are times where details are missed, and need to be added on future revisions of the cabinet drawings. You may need to drill a hole or open up an existing one. You will need some basic woodworking/handyman skills to use these cabinets.
- There aren’t any holes for the screws, just the bolt holes. Why?
Customers can choose how they want to run their wiring harness etc, the position of these holes changes from game to game, so it is left to the customer to decide where the screw in hardware goes.
- I want to save some money and put the cabinet together myself. Can you supply a flat pack version?
SHIPPINGNo unfortunately. There are other options out there for cabinets like this, and we are focused on offering a turnkey cabinet to our customers.
- Do you ship these overseas? I’m not in Australia :/
Yes - in most cases we can ship these internationally. Get in touch with us via the CONTACT page and we can go from there.PAINT + REFINISHING
- There is some overspray on the base of the cabinet.
Yes. These cabinets are meant to be a factory accurate replacement, with some enhancements made where possible due to modern materials.
- I scratched my cabinet during the restoration. What can I touch up the cabinet with?
You can get in touch with us via email, and someone will respond directly with a guide to help you through the refinish process. All colours are based on the Montana GOLD colour system so matching the colour is easy. Again, contact us for any colour codes you require.
- What level of paint finish should I expect? I really love watching that HEP guy on Youtube :D ;) ...
RETURNS POLICYExpect a consistent, satin paint finish all the way around the cabinet - similar overspray on the base of the cabinet to what the factory would’ve deemed acceptable. Basically, imagine a factory finish, but the staff were given a bit more time to fuss over it - this is what you should expect.
We offer a 60 day return-to-base (RTB) warranty on all products listed on our website. We offer the cabinets and their associated hardware as high quality factory replacement parts - and they should present in sound, brand new condition.
If for some reason you encounter any manufacturing issues with your cabinet, please get in contact with us via the contact us page and we will be more than happy to resolve any issues.
*NOTE* - the RTB warranty does not cover- A change of heart
- Misinterpretation of the product. Read our website thoroughly or email us for further information
- Basic DIY adjustments to the cabient. We make every effort to make these 'perfect' but there may be instances where you will need to open up a hole or drill a hole missed during CNC machining. This falls within the factory replacement guidelines. These are a specialist restoration part and as such a level of DIY ability is assumed.
